Our Mortgage adviser, Stephen Davison, has been with us for a year now. We wanted to ask him a few questions to reflect on the year he has had with us.
Anniversary Questions
One year ago, Hello Mortgage was just getting started, with big ideas, plenty of ambition and a lot to learn along the way. Fast forward twelve months, and it’s grown into a business built on real conversations, honest advice and helping people who often feel stuck or unsure about their options.
To mark Stephen’s one-year anniversary at Hello Mortgage, we caught up with him to look back on the highlights, the lessons learned and a few moments that now feel very different with hindsight. From first day nerves to finding his feet in front of the camera, here’s Stephen’s take on year one at Hello Mortgage.
1. When you think back to day one of Hello Mortgage, what’s something that makes you laugh now?
Answer: How scary the office seemed coming in and walking past everyone to do the interview. Now knowing that the office is the furthest thing from scary
2. What’s one thing you definitely did not expect to be part of running Hello Mortgage?
Answer: Definitely spent a lot more time in front of the camera than I expected.
3. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in the last year, the hard way or otherwise?
Answer: Exam revision is even less enjoyable as an adult!
4. What’s been the most rewarding moment with a client so far?
Answer: Being able to help somebody who’s been previously told they cannot be helped.
5. If you could sum up year one of Hello Mortgage in three words, what would they be and why?
Answer: Enjoyable, Developmental, Down-to-Earth
