Meet Keith Ahmed: The Financial Brain Behind Hello Mortgage

Meet Keith Ahmed, CEO and Mortgage Protection Advisor at Hello Mortgage.

When speaking with Keith about his role within the business, he said the primary skills he used in the company linked back to his accounting experience. Accounting is where Keith started his career in shipbuilding and the heavy manufacturing, where he worked alongside his Dad before opening his own accountancy practice.

Keith's career took a turn when he became a law firm turnaround specialist, a role he held for many years. He takes immense pride in his work, stating, “One accomplishment I value is that every place I was assigned to provide turnaround services to is still open and operational today. I have never failed to do my job completely and thoroughly.”

This unwavering commitment to his work is a testament to his dedication, a quality he continues to bring to his positions at Hello Mortgage and Estatio, drawing on his core skillset from accounting.

Keith set up Hello Mortgage with our Head of Digital Design, Simon Hamilton, in 2016 and later expanded operations in 2021 when they recruited Head of Financial Services, Nicola Henton . They have been working in the mortgage advising space since then, and have a minimum of CeMAP Qualifications to assist customers and advise them on their mortgages to understand the process better.

Hello Mortgage and Estatio have recently aligned with Sort Group, specifically Sort Group's Internal Law firm Sort Legal, to create a property hub in the property market. They aim to transform the property landscape by offering a mortgage advisor, estate agent, and legal services all in one location, providing a comprehensive solution for customers buying a home, managing a mortgage, and handling the associated legal services.

When asked how the alignment of Hello Mortgage and Estatio with Sort Group will impact the property market and the wider industry, Keith stated, “Having all services conveniently located in one accessible places simplifies the process significantly for customers. It creates a hub of information, advice, and legal support that helps them navigate the complex process of buying property.” ‍
